Rev. Glenn Barnhill,
Senior Pastor and founder of Solid Rock Ministries is a dynamic and
effective communicator of the gospel. In 1995, after ten years of
evangelistic ministry, and helping to train over one thousand ministers
in the Church of God intern program, he heard the call of God to pioneer
a church in Mobile.
Pastor Glenn and Debi began their work at Solid Rock under a small
ministry tent, and soon were able to purchase 35 acres on Tanner
Williams Road, and began building the first of Solid Rock's buildings.
Solid Rock now has an entire complex of facilities including a 700 seat
sanctuary, youth ministries building, a state of the art children's
facility, and a full service fellowship hall. Pastor Glenn's vision also
includes a brand new ministry facility including a 3000 seat auditorium.
Pastor Glenn ministers every week at Solid Rock bringing "rock solid"
Biblical truths in one of the most unique and powerful Pentecostal
deliveries. Though his preaching is truly exceptional, his focus has
always been altar ministry. His focus on altar ministry results in
healing, salvation, and powerful words of knowledge on a weekly basis.
Under his ministry, Solid Rock has seen cancer healed, financial
miracles and the dead literally raised.
In his spare time, Pastor Glenn enjoys working with his horses, golf,
watching classic, "westerns," and spending time with his family. Glenn
and Debi have two children and two grandsons. Their son, Joel, serves as
the Youth Pastor at Solid Rock.
